…it could be worth thousands someday!
A Motown fan got the treat of his life when he discovered a music legend’s passport in a record he purchased for just 50 cents.
The passport, dated back to 1964, belonged to none other than “What’s Going On” singer Marvin Gaye. The man who found the passport used to work for the Motown Museum in Detroit, and went to the home of a musician – who had worked with Gaye and had passed away – whose family wanted to donate some items. He returned to the home later to purchase some records. It is still unclear as to how the passport ended up there.
Upon discovering the hidden passport in one of the records, he brought it to PBS’ Antiques Road Show for appraisal, where the passport, complete with Gaye’s signature and photo, was found to be worth $20,000.
