If you ever watched Knight Rider, you surely remember KITT, David Hasselhoff’s vehicular sidekick. If you have spent years wishing you could have such a car, you’re in luck.
A super fan of the show created her own version of KITT – a 1986 Pontiac Firebird decked out with LED lights, digital gauges, scissor doors and a steering wheel in the shape of the letter W. It was given as a gift to Hasselhoff himself, who has decided to put it up for auction along with a Baywatch pinball machine and other items related to Hasselhoff’s memorable roles.
This particular KITT is not quite the same as the character on TV, who had artificial intelligence and was almost indestructible; but it is about as close to the real thing as you can get. Interested in your very own KITT? The starting price is just $15,000 – but the estimated sales price is between $30,000 and $50,000.
