Rolex watches are some of the world’s most revered timepieces and worn & collected by many since the early 1900’s. There are many styles & models available; some vintage that can be obtained for as little as a few hundred dollars and some vintage models can exceed $250,000.00, and the ever changing modern versions.
Rolex Watches are worn by sport figures, movie stars, musicians, heads of countries, and by any who may want a quality precision timepiece. There are various models of Rolex and styles and bands as well, like Jubilee, Oyster, President band. When looking at a Pre-owned Rolex one of the quickest ways to determine the era is to look at the band. In these examples I demonstrate the Jubilee Band from the 1960’s “C” shape, 1970’s “Oval” shape and into the modern era “D” shape.
Of course the best way to determine era is to remove the band and see the serial number on the side of the case to determine the exact year/date , but on a first glance the band can give you a good idea of the era 1960’s. 1970’s, 1980’s to date.
