A man who has spent years hunting diamonds has finally hit the jackpot.
Crater of the Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas is known as one of the top locations for finding treasures, which is why David Anderson decided to move to the area. Regularly searching the area for diamonds, Anderson has found hundreds, but none quite like the one he found Tuesday – a 6.19-carat white diamond he has named the Limitless Diamond.
Crater of the Diamonds brings many visits every year, as the world’s only diamond-producing site open to the public and the eighth largest diamond-bearing deposit in the world in surface area.
Recent rainfall is believed to have washed away dirt, exposing diamonds. This particular diamond is nearly entirely clear and appears to be unbroken. Anderson plans to donate proceeds from the sale of the Limitless Diamond to the charitable organization Speed the Light.
